Two-banded Plover chick (Charadrius falklandicus) in a salt field. Peninsula Valdes. Patagonia Argentina.
These plovers breeds in some places of Patagonia in summer. Mostly in the ocean shores but sometimes they nest near lagoons and salt fields depresions. These chicks leave their nests within a few hours of birth, but remain in the care of their parents for a time. This chick was running close to its parents over the salt.
